MATZAH BALLS

  MATZAH BALLS

  • 3 eggs     
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 ¾ cups bread crumbs from challah or bread
  • 1-2 garlic
  • 2 Tbsp ground flax or flax seeds
  • 1 ½ tsp. salt
  • Drop less than ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • Add spices accordingly

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut challah or bread into pieces and freeze
  2. Place frozen challah or bread into a blender or food processor, add the garlic and blend well
  3. Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well
  4. Fill a pot halfway with water, add salt and bring to a boil
  5. Shape mixture into balls and drop into the boiling water
  6. Cook for about 10 minutes
