MATZAH BALLS
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup oil
- 1 ¾ cups bread crumbs from challah or bread
- 1-2 garlic
- 2 Tbsp ground flax or flax seeds
- 1 ½ tsp. salt
- Drop less than ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp. pepper
- Add spices accordingly
DIRECTIONS
- Cut challah or bread into pieces and freeze
- Place frozen challah or bread into a blender or food processor, add the garlic and blend well
- Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well
- Fill a pot halfway with water, add salt and bring to a boil
- Shape mixture into balls and drop into the boiling water
- Cook for about 10 minutes
