Raw Sprouted Chumus

 

·            ½ cup raw chick peas

·            ¼ cup sesame seeds

·            2 large garlic

·            ¼ cup lemon juice

·            1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

·            ½ tsp oregano

·            1 tsp cumin

·            ½ tsp. salt or more to taste

·            2 tbsp. oil

·            Cover with water and blend well

 

Directions:

 

1) Soak the chick peas for 12 hours or more, changing the water one time in between.

2) Rinse well and sprout, until tiny shoots come out, this will take about a day or so.

 

Ø     For instructions on sprouting, go back to the main menu on this health-line and press 1 for the Stay Healthy section, then select 2 and follow the prompt for sprouting.

 

3) Place the sprouted chick peas in a high-speed blender and add all other ingredients

4) Add water to cover the ingredients and blend well until smooth.

 

Ø     Raw sprouted chumus is gluten-free, high in protein, iron, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants.
